It's simple.
I make things for people to enjoy.

In my over 20 years as a design professional I have learned that at the end of the day that’s all that that matters. Does the person engaging with it enjoy their experience? Now that we live in a world where everything is vying for all your attention at all times it’s even harder to make things that people actual enjoy. To make things that rise above the noise and bring joy. That’s what ultimately matters. It almost always comes down to just solving a problem. What does this need to do? What does it not need to do? What cant it do? Even in something as simple as making a t-shirt your still solving a problem. Maybe you need to get a message across. Maybe you just want to make somebody smile. It’s still something your solving for at the end of the day. So let’s have a conversation. Find out what we are trying to solve and make the best possible solution for it. End of story.

I have worn a lot of hats, titles, and roles over the years. I have had a somewhat untraditional “career path” in design. It wasn’t by a grand design. I just have a hard time saying no to new challenges and new experiences. I need to know what’s behind every door put in front of me. At this point though it’s one of my biggest assets. There are few things I haven’t touched in some capacity. It makes me a great problem solver because I design with the process required to take it completion in mind. I understand where the rubber hits the road. When somebody else says “that can’t be done” I will find a way.
