Founded in 1997, Sonic Boom has been an absolute mainstay of the Seattle music scene. In 2014 they closed two of their locations and were forced to adjust to the changing tides of music consumption (IE: streaming). Fortunately they managed to navigate the changing tides by keeping up with the changes and continuing to stay relevant.
In early 2017 Sonic Boom was sold. Shortly after the changeover it was discovered that nearly all visual assets had somehow been lost. I was brought on to do a rework of the iconic logo. The challenge was to make sure it retained all the handmade lived-in glory of the original, but could be easily resized for web and print applications.
